Onward Chariots release.
It's called "This is My Confession" and it's a wonderful musical journey from childhood through being an adult. Love, loss, beauty and sadness. It could be an opera, really.

You can get it here: Jigsaw Records

It's also available digitally on iTunes, E-Music as well as others.

Popfest Announcement
Skipping Stones Records regretfully announces that we will not be presenting Popfest! New England this year.

We assure you that this is not the end. We already miss the great people and bands that we bring together and the new people and bands that we meet. We hope to return again with Popfest! New England in Northampton, MA in 2010.

We have all been affected in some way or another in our current global economic downturn. We have “tightened our belts” and have made the smart decision to postpone this year’s Popfest New England. We want our Popfest to be the best that it can be. We want it to grow and this past year was not a year of growth for many.

On a positive note, we are concentrating our efforts on our band, Singing Bridges, and hope to release a new EP in the next few months on Skipping Stones. We’ll be playing shows in the greater New England area very soon, so keep us on your radar.

Be well, William & Christine

Take a look at new reviews of The Charade and The Year Zero, as well as news on The Besties Summer Tour and Popfest! New England.

Also in the works, the debut from Icelandic pop-rock band Dýrðn (pronounced deer-thin)! The music is a cross between All Girl Summer Fun Band, Blondie and The Ramones combined with lyrics about Mr. Spock, desperate heroines and summer holidays. Their live show is FABULOUS! Lead singer Hafdis jumps, bounces and generally rocks out.

The debut album will coincide with a CD release party during Popfest! New England, followed by a short Northeast tour.

17, November 2005 - The Besties CD is off to the plant and we’ll soon have another beautiful, four panel digipak to add to our catalog. Promos will be going out at the beginning of December, so look for reviews on your favorite ‘zines just in time for our February 14, 2006 release date. How cute is that?!

12, October 2005 - Watch out for Skipping Stones Records in 2006! We’re still buzzing from our 2nd Annual Popfest! New England and planning a full roster of releases from some amazing indie pop bands from all over the world….

The Besties of NYC are Marisa and Kelly on keyboards / vocals and Ricky on guitar. Their debut album, “Singer,” is planned for release on Valentine’s Day, 2006. Look forward to clever lyrics and melodies about fantastical love scenarios in outer space, on the sea with swashbuckling pirates or way out West with gun totin’ cowboys!

Lili de la Mora and Rodney Sellars make up the duo The Year Zero from Long Beach, CA. Lili’s gentle vocals weave together with Rodney’s layerings of guitars and keyboards to create futuristic dream pop soundscapes reminiscent of early shoegaze.

Swedish pop trio The Charade will have another release ready just in time to be the perfect soundtrack for next summer. The Charade will appear on the “Pop the Question” comp from Book Club Records and on STROMUNDGITARRE VOL 1., to be released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland next year. Other Swedish bands like The Legends and Sambassadeur will also be on the comp!

superfallingstars are busy recording – in the studio this time! All material is being developed by Mike and William, with Mike playing both bass and guitar on the recordings. It should be great!

Beauty Sleep's catchy melodies pull together a semi-sweet, playful sound and a unique intensity to create
a kind of frantic beauty.

Blown away by both their performance at Popfest! New England and their personal charm, we’ve just added Dyrdin to our 2006 roster. Einar on guitar, sister Hafdis as vocalist and Magnús on bass have been playing together for over 10 years. After a brief hiatus, they’re back together with two new members and ready to record! The drum machine is gone, replaced with the rockin’, Tóti on drums. Vala has also added her talents to the group on keyboards and backing vocals. The group will perform at the Iceland Airwaves festival at the end of October and plan more shows in their hometown of Reykyavik, Iceland.

03, October 2005 - Thank you so much to all of the wonderful bands that played at Popfest! New England!!! It was great to hang out with friends and meet new people and have fun! There is nothing that we would change, except to have more time to talk to everyone...
Trembling Blue Stars were amazing, a special thank you to TBS and Michael from Bar None for making their trip over the ocean possible.
The other special award for miles travelled goes to Dýrðin from Iceland. They were brilliant! We arrived home at 4am Sunday morning with Dýrðin in tow, it was really great to host such a lovely bunch of people.
Also thank you to Chris Mac / for being merch guy extraordinaire!
Stay tuned for photos in the media section!

19, September 2005 - We're busy bees getting ready for Popfest. After all it's just 10 days away! Popfest t-shirts are on their way, the button order is done, promos and publicity mailed out, what else? Ticket orders are really picking up, so buy now if you plan on coming. We've got bands and friends (sometimes that's one in the same) coming from Iceland, Washington state, the UK, Florida, Detroit and all over! We're really proud of this year's line-up, we hope to see you there!

17, August 2005 - We're very excited about Popfest! New England 2005. We've added Trembling Blue Stars to the line up! Take a look at the popfest bands , schedule. and online ticket sales. We may also be adding an early ALL AGES show on Saturday (October 1st) afternoon! Please stay tuned for more details.

12, July 2005 - The Charade's release has received some excellent and insightful reviews and radio airplay! Please check out their site It's pretty, it's green and flowery and Magnus posts all the time! The Charade are so psyched to be together they're even working on some new songs! superfallingstars have also written some new songs which sound great. Mike is totally cute on stage, so you should come out and see them sometime. They just had a bunch of shows here in CT and they're playing with The Plus Ones - who we LOVE on July 30th at Rudy’s in New Haven, CT. superfallingstars will play ATHENS POPFEST brought to you by HHBTM records on August 10 in Athens, GA. Mike Turner & Eric Hernandez organize this, they’re two of the hardest working indie kids out there. Hurray!
Skipping Stones' Popfest! New England is coming up at the end of September – stay tuned for a tentative schedule soon!
The Besties will have a mini-tour at the end of this month, dates to be posted soon!
Thanks for listening & reading & please support your local indie bands!

15 June 2004 - Out now!: Our first full-length release, Swimming Across the Sound by superfallingstars.
"Ram-shaking, jangly indie pop." "Swimming Across the Sound", superfallingstars’ first full length release invokes memories of childhood, hanging out in high school and love lost and found amidst upbeat pop tempos and harmonies that lock in your head and make you want to move your feet. The songs open with catchy guitar and intricate bass lines, featuring delicate and quiet vocals and end with a bang driven by William Knapp’s infamous drumming.
We’re very excited, and very busy, sending out promotional copies from HQ (i.e.; the dining room table) and getting the word out!
You can order copies HERE.
We still have a few limited edition, numbered copies of superfallingstars CD Sampler! For $4 you can own a little piece of history!
